Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is Hiring a Deputy Communications Director Near Washington, DC
Overview: The Deputy Communications Director is a supervisory position that helps lead the planning and execution of the DSCC’s communications strategies and manage the communications department’s press staff and workflow.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with the communications director to build and execute communications plans.
- Manage the workflow and press staff of the communications department.
- Work across departments to execute the DSCC’s overall communications strategies.
- Work with members of the press to shape media coverage, including serving as on the record spokesperson.
- Write, edit and approve both external and internal communications materials.
- Support the communications work of the DSCC Chair and Vice Chairs.
- Work with partner organizations, surrogates and principals, on communications needs relating to Senate races.
